These Terms of Service govern your use of this website (drfrancesca.co.uk) and set out the basis on which I provide psychological therapy and assessment services. Please read them carefully. By using this website or engaging my services, you agree to these terms.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
I’m Dr Francesca Mantia-Conaty, a self-employed Clinical Psychologist operating as a sole practitioner under the trading name Dr Francesca. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a practitioner member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). My practice is based in the United Kingdom and I operate from a private home practice.
As a registered health professional, my practice is subject to the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics, the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for Practitioner Psychologists, and the BABCP Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics. These professional standards take precedence over any contractual terms where there is a conflict.
I provide the following services:
This website is provided for general information purposes only. Its content does not constitute medical or psychological advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional clinical assessment or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or in an emergency call 999.
I make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information on this website, but I do not guarantee that it is complete, current, or error-free. I reserve the right to update or remove content at any time without notice.
Submitting an enquiry via the contact form does not create a contractual relationship between us. A therapeutic or professional relationship only begins once we have had an initial consultation and both parties have agreed to proceed, confirmed in writing (including by email).
Before beginning therapy, we will agree (verbally or in writing) the specific terms of our work together, including session frequency, fees, cancellation policy, and confidentiality arrangements. Those terms form part of our contract alongside these Terms of Service.
Assessments are undertaken on the basis of a direct self-referral or following a referral by a medical professional. Assessment services are subject to a separate written agreement confirming the scope of the assessment, fee, turnaround time, and the form and recipient of any report produced. I do not guarantee any particular outcome of an assessment, and the clinical conclusions I reach are based solely on my independent professional judgement.
My current fees are available on request. Fees are payable in accordance with the terms set out in your individual therapy agreement. I reserve the right to review my fees periodically and will give reasonable notice of any changes.
Invoices are due for payment within the timeframe specified in your agreement. Late payment may result in suspension of sessions until the outstanding balance is cleared.
My cancellation policy is set out in your therapy contract or assessment agreement. In general, I require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or not attended without notice, may be charged at the full session rate. I reserve the right to apply discretion in exceptional circumstances.
I am a Clinical Psychologist and am not a medical doctor, psychiatrist, or prescribing clinician. I cannot prescribe medication, make medical diagnoses, or refer directly to secondary care NHS services on your behalf, though I can support you in seeking appropriate referrals through your GP or other relevant channels.
Psychological therapy is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent medical or psychiatric attention, please contact emergency services (999), NHS 111, or attend your nearest A&E department.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I exclude all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect, consequential, or economic loss) arising from your use of this website or from the provision of my services, except where such liability arises from my negligence, wilful misconduct, or breach of a duty imposed by law that cannot be excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
As a registered HCPC practitioner, I hold professional indemnity insurance appropriate to my scope of practice.
All content on this website — including text, images, and design — is my property or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of this website without my prior written consent, except as permitted by law (for example, fair dealing for personal or research purposes).
This website may contain links to external websites. I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and the inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
I may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of this website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Changes to the specific terms of an existing therapy or assessment agreement require mutual written agreement.
If you have any questions about these Terms of Service, please get in touch using the contact form on this website.
